Museum Hours/Directions

 

The Marshfield Historical Society museum and archives are normally open the first Sunday of the month from 1 pm to 4 pm and by appointment with our Curator. The museum and archives are in the 1835 Marcia Thomas House, 65 Webster Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.

For 2020 the first Sunday dates are: Dec 6th , 2020.

For 2021 the dates are: Jan 3rd, Feb 7th , Mar 7th, Apr 4th, May 2nd, Jun 6th, Jul 11th, Aug 1st, Sep 5th, Oct 3rd, Nov 7th, Dec 5th, 2021

During Covid-19 pandemic-restriction times, the museum will be open for pre-scheduled guided tours only when opening is permitted by the Governor of the Commonwealth.

One-hour tours may be scheduled at 1pm, 2pm or 3pm on the first and second Sunday of each month.

Directions to the Marcia Thomas House

Take either Exit 11 or Exit 12 off Route 3

From Route 3 take Exit 11 (Route 14) east. Bear left at the fork onto Route 139. Continue through the intersection of Route 3A for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Webster Street. The Marcia Thomas House will be ¼ mile on the left at 65 Webster Street.

From Route 3 take Exit 12 (Route 139) east for about 3 miles (many traffic lights) into the center of Marshfield. Turn right onto Webster Street (CVS Pharmacy opposite). Proceed for about 2 miles. The Marcia Thomas House will be on the right at 65 Webster Street.
