Pro-Am
Modeling after the earliest meetings of the Society in 1913, we encourage professional (Pro) and amateur (Am) historians to report on their local history research at our monthly meetings. For the past three years, the Society has hosted Pro-Am Historical Highlight lectures, normally held at the Marcia Thomas House meeting room on the second floor. We normally do not have Pro-Am lectures during the summer months.
However, this year we have replaced the Pro-Am lectures for January 2013 through September 2013 with events that celebrate our 100th birthday. See Coming Events for details. Pro-Am lectures will resume in October 2013 and will continue through June 2014.
On February 12, 2012 Mr. Michael LePage presented a wonderful reenactment of Dr. Issac Winslow. Dr. Winslow was the doctor that served the Town of Marshfield during the American revolution period.
Visit our display at Marshall’s Department Store window in Webster Square.
